RecoveryMind Training helps individuals understand how the disease of addiction hurts the brain, and clear actions they can take to recover. By guiding participants through a series of steps that address all aspects of the impact of addiction on the brain, behavior, relationships and sense of self, RecoveryMind helps repair the damage produced by months, years or decades of addictive thinking and acting.
Steps include learning to be honest about addiction, asking for help and learning how the support of others, such as Alcoholics Anonymous and similar programs, can be used to create change. Participants learn to have a healthy awareness of their emotional state, how aspects of their personality can both contribute to addiction and contribute to recovery, and how to find meaning in life and relationships. In RecoveryMind Training, individuals build resiliency, develop a community of sober peers, and reconnect with the aspects of spirituality that bring a sense of meaning and connectiveness to the world.
